Bristle & Bud
Bristle & Bud is a brand I created in Spring 2019. The name comes from the bristles of a paintbrush, and the bud of a flower in Spring. "Inspired by Nature, Made by Hand" is the motto, which reflects my love for wildlife, animals and nature.
The main areas of Bristle & Bud are: custom artwork (pet, home and family portraits which can be viewed in separate projects); greetings cards & prints; gifts such as hand embroidered necklaces, and has moved onto freelance design work including, but not limited to, the hobbycraft papercraft range, artwork for board games and graphic design.
This project shows the initial brand development and how it has blossomed into the business it is today.

Garden Lover Collection for Bristle & Bud.
Starting out as watercolour paintings inspired by British gardens, these designs made their way onto greetings cards and prints for garden lovers everywhere (2019).
Christmas Card Collection.
Inspired by autumnal woodland walks spent foraging and observing wildlife in a traditional illustrative style. All designs began as watercolour illustrations before making their way onto greetings cards (2019).
Valentines Card Collection.
A whimsical range of cards inspired by British wildlife with a more contemporary sense of realism in the illustration style. Designed with Valentines in mind, but suitable for sending to a loved one on any occasion. These designs began as tiny watercolour paintings before making their way onto greetings cards (2021).
